lol probably.  My dad was in Japan not too long ago and took a picture of a random busy street, and there were people (adults and kids) just walking down the street with DSes lol.  It's like a cell phone, everyone has one and it's on them at all times.

"Nintendo DS Destroys Game Show"

Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo's popular gaming expo the "Tokyo Game Show" was cancelled today.  Organizers for the event cited Nintendo as the reason for the show's downfall.

"Well, you see, what happened is we REALLY wanted to put on this show, right?  But then Nintendo just had to go and release a new game for their DS.  Needless to say, we spent all night playing it instead of doing our job" was the comment of one organizer, who wishes to remain anonymous.

Nintendo refused to comment on the allegations that they released the game before the show in the hopes of cancelling it in order to keep Sony's Playstation from gaining ground on their console, the Wii.  A Nintendo (PINK:NTDO) spokesperson gave the following statement.

"We are saddend that the organisers of this event felt it more worth their time to play our latest game instead of organise the event.  However, it was not our intention to do this."

 One supporter of Sony's Playstation had the following to say:

"See? Nintendo is destroying gaming!  Now we can't even have out own [censored] game show without Nintendo ruining it!  Where are the hardcore games?"

A Nintendo owner had the following response:

"ST[censored]U n00b!  the ORGANISERS of a GAMING show were playing it!  That means its hardcore!"

Perhaps the biggest victim here is Microsoft's Peter Moore, who spent the entire night hiding in a closet at the show planning to jump out and surprise the audience with a surprise look at the XBox360's new game, "Pandering to the Japanese Audience" while wearing a costume reminiscent of the popular Nintendo mascot Pikachu.

Moore was overheard saying, "I fly all the way across the ocean, buy this stupid costume, and THIS is how it ends? [censored] YOU NINTENDO!!! [censored] YOU!!!" 

rofl, that whole post was awesome, but the Peter Moore part was gold.

Nintendo can dominate, if Kingdom hearts 3 is annouced as an exclusive for there console or just announced for there system they can dominate, but thats if its not released on any other console. KH3 is going to be the best rpg no doubt.

Thats actually pretty weak if thats all sony's got.

Aside from a few mentions, can I just say I'm shocked that no one seems to be thinking Wii Fit will dominate TGS. Wii Sports and Wii Play have been in the Japanese gaming charts for ages now, they've both sold extremely well and no doubt that sort of market is growing in Japan.

Now, both those games were very much just a taster of what to expect once Wii Fit is out. To me it's a no brainer that WIi Fit is going to propel the Wii in the Japanese market into an outstanding position, and a focus on it at TGS could be huge imo. Wii Music could have a great impact too on their presentation, along with Animal Crossing (The Ds version has outsold FFXII 2:1).

Also can someone please find me a source to prove Nintendo are at TGS? On another forum people won't believe me >_>.
