Well, at least they admit it and they're doing something about it... That's good.

I find it funny one would compare a single very low resolution image to determine texture quality.

Get over it guys, it's basically the same game. The game was designed around the 360's capabilities and limitations, you won't find major differences like the Big Daddy being twice the size, destructible environments or many times the amount of on screen activity.

PC/360 Bioshock owners will not re-buy this game for added content, if you own multiple platforms and don't own BioShock yet (but want to) it's basically the extra content/mode/small changes, scratch resistant Blu-Ray and the fact it's a game version for the more sturdy PS3 vs cheaper pricing.

I played the demo, it's a good port. But I won't buy this game because at a time it was claimed to never come to the PS3 and I already watched sections of the game, including the endings on youtube.

Case closed.  They missed a texture in the demo.

So far as I can see all this talk is based on the demo on PS3 not final release code.  Therefore all comparisons at this point are essentially irrelevant.  If you must compare the two (which I think is pretty boring but there's no accoutning for some people's need to justify their choices) then at least wait until you have code/content which is at parity - i.e. two released games.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

on final retail there is still missing vsync option for ps3 (ps3 version can not go beyond 30 fps)

xbox 360 have vsync option disabled, because it can go from 30-60 (most of the time it is 60fps)

ps3, don't have the option because it can not go above 30 fps, it is sometimes drop from 20-30, can not go beyond 30 fps, so that's why there is no vsync option.

so it tells us again, multiplatform still better on 360, even all eurogamer face off article with specific hardware to grab uncompressed hdmi tells us 360 still better on multiplatform games after more than 2 years.

@ dejelek

360 still better on multiplatform games

Very minor differences, some ports are better on the 360 and others on the PS3 (also dependent on personal preferences). IMO nothing to rave about like some 360 fanboys have done since the PS3's release.

It's the exclusives, games designed around a specific platform's capabilities which IMO are the most interesting.

after more than 2 years

The PS3 has been on the market for less than 2 years. By March 2009 the PS3 will have been available for a full 2 years in Europe, already we will have eye catching exclusive games like LittleBigPlanet, Resistance 2, Motorstorm 2, Killzone 2, MGS4, Uncharted, etc.

The 360 will have been on the market for 3 years and 5 months in Europe by March 2009.

PS3 vs 360 sales

it look really bad!!

For those who dont think Bioshock is the best next gen water. They had a whole team dedicated to water for this game. The results are amazing. People talk about Uncharted which is good. But Bioshock has water running down stairs, water gushing into hallways, calm water, water rushing down walls, dripping into puddles. Everything looks amazing.
