MS are geniuses as they were able to create a system that had low R&D costs and could still match the PS3's cell. THerefore they were able to cut prices and win the HD console race in the Americas. Yes, I don't see PS3 even coming close to the 360 in the Americas. Its too late

No, because they have no price cut at this moment and no huge game is coming out until little big planet. in my opinion, little big planet will not be a huge seller for the ps3.

ok, so now we are using "ps3 have massive shortages" crap? face it people x360 steals potencial ps3 buyers that's why ps3 sales are so low cause people have no point in buying more expensive console for the same games.

It's due to two factors. the biggest being that we are in a bit of an economic pinch here in the US if you people havent noticed, and second the 360 dropped it's price. Lets be honest her tho folks the 360 price cut is secondary. the cut has been around a month and the 360 is even down in the 70k's the past 2 weeks. it wouldn't doubt me if the PS3 was somewhat, and I mean slightly somewhat Supply constrained due to the fact they just released a new SKU, but the big reason is cost and the consumer fear we are going through here in the States. 360 fanobys need to get a grip, and PS3 fanboys need to chill. The truth is things are just going to be tight here in the US for awhile, and because of this i think Europe is looking to become the important region in the forseeable future.

 Great post,i liked it. And ps3 can keep it`s blueray,not everyone wants it. Every ps3 buyer swallows a blueray player that may/may not use and pais for it... otherwise why isn`t Sony dropping the price? Probably because they can`t,they are losing money on every system sold,but not too much so they take it. A price drop is not possible.

And then there`s the US economy... people can`t afford to pay much more for a little more... they could in the past,but not now.

Because bluray is such a hot commodity in the USA right now, LOL!
