its sad, an EPIC game and anime is destroyed by real life movie, sad :(

I don't think it'll be that bad. Stephen Chow is producing it and I liked Kung Fu Hustle. I'm concerned but because it's Dragon Ball and not DBZ I have some faith in this movie. Dragon Ball was about actual fighting and not power level this, super saiyan that, so a live action movie seems plausible. I'm taking the wait and see approach for this one.

Anyway DBZ died in my heart a long time ago. So never really mind if they mess the shit out of it.

You do realise its only Dragon Ball and NOT Dragon Ball Z. Thus, the story isn't really that good.

They want to make many movies so they are starting at the beginning. So the movie is about Goku as a Kid and he doesnt even know how to power up.

Fingers cross everyone goes and watches this movie so that 20th Century decides to make at least 1 sequel so that maybe we can see a real life Goku go Super sayian.

To be fair, Bulma did use guns (though I can't remember if she still was this late in the story), and Dragonball was much more martial arts than giant energy blasts.  Unless you mean it looks like a generic martial arts movie, then I agree.

Roshi = Chow Yun-Fat and Chow Yun-Fat = awesome so I'm not sure what to say about that. Yamcha is supposed to be the "cool" guy so I don't mind him having a flashy hairstyle. Bulma using guns is fine as long as she doesn't bust out any martial arts. Krillin? Really now did you just complain about no Krillin? Goku's an alien so he isn't Japanese anyways... Dragon Ball is all about f****** martial arts man! I don't know why you're complaining when they have Stephen Chow and 87Eleven aka the guys who did the stunts for The Matrix and 300 working on the fight scenes. This movie actually has potential to be a solid action flick. Is it going to get great reviews? No, but it'll probably be an entertaining movie like Forbidden Kingdom and such.
