whatever i don't judge by a trailer as long as the story is interesting and exiting who gives a shit how unfaithful it is to the anime/manga.

hell how many millions of adaptations are there for each superhero in comics. they like remake the story every 20 years.

this movie won't ruin dbz or dragonball, it could jsut be a bad movie. heck i hated the Eragon movie, it was shitty and a shame to the books. Doesn't keep me from still liking the books.

AND GOKU is not a fucking asian or chinese or japanese or whatever you want to say. You guys apparantly dont' know anything about dragonball either. Did you forget he is an alien. They can cast anyone they want as long as he is not black. And if you haven't figured it out yet either in anime/manga the characters do look more american than japanese anyway so get over it.

I think something inside me died after watching the trailer (feels cold) DB is better off staying in the anime world like to some game franchises sticking to 2D instead of 3D this is a discrage to DB. gret its going to have car scenes typical.

I don't remember that part but I was thinking about the Tournament.  Thats the first time I remember him at least haha.  I will do some digging.

edit:  I just did some digging, and the Piccolo that Goku busts through the chest was the evil demon king piccolo and the the Piccolo that shows up at the tournament is Piccolo Jr, who is a reincarnation of the demon king.  So when the Piccolo that we all know made his debut at the tournament.

You guys all have weird complaints. Shouldn't the real complaints be things along the lines of the timeline of this movie? Or am I wrong and there are guns, taxis and muscle cars in the Dragon Ball manga?

^^Yea there are guns and taxis and stuff. Pelof's henchmen the girl and the dog had gun and so did the red ribbon army. I don't know about muscle cars but there are cars.

Ok I stand corrected then. I just remember some DragonBall Z episodes I watched and it was always energy shit flying out of people's hands and vast empty deserted landscapes where two combatants could think and talk for an hour before diving into eachother and creating a 90 mile crater in the ground only to rinse and repeat for next week. It seems Dragon Ball was a much different animal than Dragon Ball Z was.

O yes it was.  I actually liked Dragon Ball a lot more than Z because of the sitting and talking bullshit they pulled out.  Yea there wasn't really much gun play in DBZ but there are a few instances.  Dragon Ball was much more adventure than DBZ.

The only thing it has going for it are the fight scenes, which I'm praying are good because when a movie can't even get the skin colour of one of the main characters right, you know it's fission mailed.

I thought the movie was based on Dragonball not Dragonball Z. The have still killed the franchise though.
