Yes, Sony needs a price cut.


A PlayStation TWO price cut. PlayStation 2 swept the floor with the X360 last Christmas and this year it could very easily do the same if Sony would sell it for just $99 and/or maybe a very attractive bundle for no more than $129 (currently it sells for $129.99 with nothing included).

X360 just entered mass market price territory, now it is against the Wii and PS2. Sony mustn't lower their elite product to that level yet, all they need to face the 360 they already have, a big old dog called PS2 (the one that easily beat X360 its first 2 years in the market) .

The PS3 SHOULD be cut, but it WONT be cut. Sony are tough, they arent going to pander to peoples needs, they want to be competitive but they want to make money.

But, by the time they cut the price, it might be too late

If things goes south Nintendo has shown us a single generation doesn't have to kill. If Sony can be profitable there will be many rounds to come. There is no shame in their sales. Though it's shameful the fanboys see it that way.

I'd rather they not, because i already have to spend $330 getting a Pandora tommorow :)

Well...it still has emulators and applications. The PSX emulator has already been shown at full speed. I can also use it as a primitive laptop and surf the web on it.

Why would they cut the price. Their goal was 10million this year and they will hit it and plus they have lost more money than MS this gen so therefore they don't have the money to spend by cutting the price.

As have been said,there is plenty of time.Now that some crazy games comes,most customers will buy it.And then,after big games are gone, people who simply DOESNT HAVE MONEY get it.
