We need a price cut now sony the ps3 is still too expensive, consumers like djmeister cant afford the ps3 because the entry price is still too high. Sony must act fast and reduce the ps3 to either $350 or $299 or risk losing more market share to the Xbox 360 and possibly christmas.

The Xbox 360 is so cheap now its outrageous its almost as cheap as a loaf of bread lol, even I am tempted to buy it but being the Sony leader I must resist this fierce temptation, I will not eat the apple lol.

Sony shot themselves by making such a beast of a console lol, that which unfortunately is costing a lot to produce. I honesly think that Sony do want to cut the price but they can't afford the losses.

Any price cut will bring a spike in sales and momentum leading up too christmas

I am wondering if Sony can afford a price cut right now. The Cell + Blu-Ray is still too expensive. But the only way their going to become competitive with Microsoft if by the way of a price cut. By now most people see the 360 and PS3 as equal in terms of games and graphic power. It is the lower price that sets the two systems apart.

I'm willing to wait for Team ICO's game. They can keep the price cut until then.

I don't think Sony cares about beating the XBox360. I think they care about finally making money on the PS3. I'd rather there be a PS4, than have them take a huge hit on the PS3, take the lead, and lose so much money it forces them out of the hardware business.

But I am a little disappointed with PS3 sales and a lot of the negativity that seems to surround everything PS3 related (with exception to some rabid Sony fanboys).

Sony, you keep doing what your doing to make money so you can pass on savings to us in the future

Sony cant afford a price cut at the moment, they did cut a lot arleady (compared to launch price).

even if the Ps3 has sold only 20 million....there would still have been a PS4

the brand is much stronger than what NES, SNES & N64 were....despite GC only getting 21 million in sales....there was still another nintendo console
