8.9 at best. Won't meet the extreme hype just like the last game didn't either. If I cut down a tree and it grows in realtime that does not make the game better in any way at all.

All right, I have to ask. Why 8.9? Is 8.85 too lower? Is 8.9237 too high? For a game you haven't played!

It's like you're looking into a crystal ball to come up with an absolute value to assign to complex opinions!

Wait, that is what you're doing.

Sounds amazing. Wonder if he's actually accomplished it. This guy loves to promise big. Either way i'm reinterested.

I'm a sucker for new gameplay developments and new things being done.

While Fable II does sound technically impressive, these extra things that you can do to pass time and be more or less likeable etc. seem quite boring...
The main problem is that you have to really start caring about your town/family/whatever.
If you don't care for them, then what point is there in having them potentially die from you not having wood to keep the house warm.
"Whatever, I'll just get me a new family, should I ever want to go through the trouble again."
And so, if it starts to become that "I went through a shitload of trouble for this" kind of game, then it starts to have that WoW-appeal, except without the same level of social interaction.

All in all, this part of Fable II has got me interested only a little more than "The Sims", and I would qualify it the same as "The Sims". Something to pass time with, for the kind of people who can enjoy life simulations. And just to be perfectly clear, I never liked a single life simulator...

You don't get to spin a full blown arpg as some sort of the sims game dude.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

And I didn't, let me help you point out the places where I point that out in my original post

I'm seriously considering getting a 360 with this game anyway, I just need to find the best deal I can and I'm sold.

My most anticipated games:  Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort.  Cave Story Wiiware.

Holy, cow...

They've built a very intricate world simulator... the Sims meets Oblivion. If they get the adventure/dialog-quality/performance aspects right, this could be a groundbreaking title.

45000 lines of unique dialog. Sheesh... the hours of voice acting, alone, must have been impressive.

I was already champing at the bit to get this game, now it's going to be a long haul between now and the 21st...

Also the first thing i thought after "Awesome they have set schedules" ws "Awesome I can break into peoples homes when they aren't home based on seeing them leave and stuff... instead of them just "disapeering" at certain times... if that.

interesting. technically this game is impressive. 21st OCt, is still long way.
