Unfortunately, there were no earmarks for Astroglide in those 450 pages. It's too bad because we're going to need it. We just got fucked - rather painfully, I might add.

I think it's terrible, sad, and hilarious that in order to pass it they needed to include an additional 150 billion in pork, gifts, and favors. If you can't get everybody to agree on something, bribe them.

"the world is safe again... But... for how long?"

 

 

The scary thing is that this is really just a bandaid and we're only weeks away from the next crisis ...

I expect that, due to the low home prices in many markets, tax revenues for many municipalities and states will be so low and their debt levels are so high that they will be risking bankrupcy; suddenly, everyone will start wondering whether these govenment issued bonds they hold are really worth the paper they're written on and we will return to a liquidity crisis.

yeah, the next thing I'm expecting is that countries suddenly realize that US bonds are not a smart or safe bet anymore, and then all hell breaks loose.
