i didnt have a GC last gen, so im gonna have a blast with all these remakes on a wii control.
Wasted development resources? I know I would rather have new games than a last-gen remake in any shape or form regardless of what system I own.
An exception would be something where the game was completely different or the game is completely modernized, like the recent Castlevania PSP remake or something like a FFVII remake. That is really in a different category.

The point to remember is that some of these are supreme games (particularly MP) and deserve to be shown to another generation. For me Metroid Prime is without doubt the best game I ever played and it will still look great on Wii - Phendrana Wastes - gorgeous

I don't think it will take a lot of resources to port these games and add Wii controls.
And new games were also announced at the conference.

I don't. I bought MP3, played half of it and never turned it on again. I do, however, want a new Metroid game that is similar in gameplay to Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion and Metroid Prime. Wii or DS, whatever it takes. It would be profitable, therefore it should be made.
Metroid Prime was really amazing. But I think I will pass. It will be amazing with wii controls but I think I have had enough of Prime. I didn't get up to half way in Prime 2 as I hated the dark world so much. I enjoyed 3 but not even up to half as much as Prime 1 and didn't even finish the game although I got to the final boss before deciding I couldn't take it anymore. I think I might get Pikmin 2 though as it was my favourite game last gen.

Men, kinda expensive, but still i would by windwaker for that if they decide to do it.
Man, I could never get into Metroid Prime before because it just didn't control nearly as well as I'd have liked. I couldn't appreciate the game before... This is going to be awesome, though! :D
