This game is a timed exclusive because of the PS3 architecture Lilwingman, SE has said the reason for the delay was that they were having issues with UE3 on the PS3.
This bundle not only looks great but it ensures a huge 360 sales spike. After what happened with ToV and IU, you can bet that MS will have a huge amount of 360's available and retailers will be all to happy to stock them. I am curious as to how big this game will be in Japan. If its as hyped as other posters are saying it could have a Blue Dragon like hardware spike that lasst for a good six weeks.

I also hope us Europeans dont get shafted. The release dates are supposed to be worldwide Nov 17-21 but its alarming that the European release date is now only a November placeholder and you cant pre-order it on amazon.co.uk or any online retailer afaik. Please dont make me cry like ToV and Rock Band did.

This made me laugh for some reason.

What X360 RPGs are you comparing IU to?
After 3 weeks, IU has already equaled Lost Odyssey's LTD cume. That's a pretty big improvement in a year. ToV continues to hold very nicely, and is going after Blue Dragon's record.
And The Last Remnant, if there are enough bundles, could outsell Blue Dragon, as it's going to have a great userbase of 800,000+ units to sell to.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
Looks like a great bundle for Japan. This is a must buy for me already!

I was assuming that Infinite Undiscovery had a rapid drop off because I didn't see it in the Famitsu preview. If the game would have gotten less mediocre reviews, I feel it could have sold twice as much and would still be in the preliminaries at least. |
I think both the reviews and length have hurt IU. Since the game can be beaten in a week or so, it may hurt the used market quite a bit. However, on the good side of things: with the X360's great hold in hardware sales, it makes future sales of IU and other big X360 games more likely to have legs. If there were 11,000 new X360 owners last week, it looks like 70% of them picked up either Tales of Vesperia or Infinite Undiscovery. If that continues, we could see good sales for both games for awhile...Especially if the hardware shortage tends to keep X360 sales over 10k units.
Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
Shame I'm not excited for this game at all.
I like my RPGs traditional.
