Forums - Sony - Demon's Soul screens!

SoTC...nah I would rather say just fantasy books/stories like LOTR.

Looking good! Let's hope they didn't take any other cues from oblivion besides the open world rpg thingy.

Looks dull & generic

sorry to be a harsh critic....but people saying it looks like oblivion are just indulting oblivion....the masterpiece it was!

Oblivion's art style looked like crap.  The character models were fugly, especially with bloom/HDR turned on.  :P

@ people saying it looks like oblivion - oh gawd i hope not, i hated oblivion! the art style wasnt all that great, a sucky story at best, characters looked like crap. i am hoping this game is 30x > oblivion!

I don't get the hate for oblivion. I liked it.....

personally i think its a love or hate type of game

This looks pretty interesting...I would love to see some gameplay when it gets further along.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

New screens:

New shots look great. I am being cautiously optimistic.

I think most people hated Oblivion for a couple reasons. Everything looked the same. There were hundreds of ruins and dungeons to explore, but they all looked the same (either a tomb or a dungeon or a cave). Very cookie cutter. Hopefully this game spends a lot more time actually crafting the world instead of Bethesda's copy and paste method.

People also hated the leveling system. Having enemies level with you is stupid. Also, the level up system was retarded. Depending on what skills you set as your major/minor skills, it was very easy to get either way underpowered or ridiculously overpowered. Hopefully this game does a MUCH better job with that.

Last, the graphics in Oblivion plain old SUCKED. They looked great as a screenshot, but the minute ANYTHING moved, it looked like utter crap with some of the worst animations in a modern game.

I've never played King's Field, so I have no idea really what to expect. But the very little I've seen has me pretty interested. I love the art style so far, especially the new screens just posted. I really hope that this one turns out great.

holy crap it looks great :P
