Damm only 99.
Amazing move by MS, they really did catch the other console makers by surprise...
And even if they did drop the price of the Wii to £150 is still FAR to much for to little console, it would still be almost the same price as the 60gb 360.....
99 for a 360 is a great price that can`t be beaten. Still, perhapes they have limited consoles and wanted to advertise to increase popularity, but you never know. Get one while it`s in stock.
The £140 Xbox360 £60 looks too good to ignore. I am very tempted..
Playing : PC AOE, DiRT 2, Runes of Magic, Wings of Prey & Planetside 2
Wii U : Nintendoland, Super Mario U & Fifa 2013 demo

MS didn't do this one, It's the retailer Sainsburys, and only for a limited number of consoles (most likely) for a limited amount of time.

Proud Sony Rear Admiral
Thats bloody cheap! I hope they sell heaps of wii's and 360's.
My housemate told me a little while ago that Asda randomly do deals where they just reduce the cost for a weekend of a the entire charts of a console games. Example being about a month ago all games for PS3 were jsut £25. ... that's the deal. They are back up in price now but still.
i miss it obviously as Asda is not my supermarket of choice.
It does seem odd that Sainsburys would do it for the 360 and Wii and not the PS2 or PS3.
Hmm, pie.

It doesnt surprise me at all. Here in the UK the PS3 is not that strong. It wouldnt generate as much excitement from the press.

I think a price reduction on the PS3 console would generate as much excitement as the 360. Wii on the other hand is another matter altogether.
...on a slightly related subject, didn't the PS2 used to have an RRP of £95, not £105?
Hmm, pie.
