They probably just don't carry it... because as you state no-one buys games from Sainsbury's.

Most of the stores that "also" sell videogames and aren't like big box stores just don't carry Ps3s. Like music stores and the like.

Back when they got burned with them not selling for a while they just gave up ordering new stock.
