why anyone would be pissed? these are for the people who couldn't buy them and now they have a chance.

I won't trade my GC games but O won't bitch about that. I am glad I can finally could grab "DK jungle beat" in my wii ^^

Nope. Most of my GC games are RPGs, and Nintendo probably won't be re-releasing them, since they'd have to make deals with the original publishers. They will probably only re-release 1st- and 2nd-party titles.

A copy of Metroid Prime is currently being shipped to me so I am a little annoyed.

I don't see why anyone should be mad at Nintendo. The new versions don't stop the GC versions from working and you already have enjoyed them (although I can see why the OP is upset buying a game and not yet played it).

Trying to find a used Wavebird at a reasonable price is difficult and I've only seen memory cards online or at select second hand stores. This will allow Wii owners who didn't have a GC to easily enjoy these titles.

I am only slightly annoyed as I just bought Pikmin 2 for like $40, and I could have waited for the Wii version, just so I would have a wireless controller.

However, as for Pikmin, Metroid or any other game being released, I don't care, as I have my copy and these mean nothing to me, however I may pick up Metroid just cause I love it so much.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

I don't believe anyone has said they're remaking the games with new controls. As far as I can tell this is just their version of greatest hits.
Stop whining, your games would only be obselete if they didn't play on your Wii anymore.
