There is supposed to be an 80GB LBP bundle in Europe. No word on a US bundle.
Well it seems Sony is pushing LBP alot harder the MS is pushing Fable , i've seen full page LBP adds in two national newspapers here in the UK and that's rare for any game.
Fable 2 may open bigger but lbp will have bigger legs.
I'm getting both first day.
I think Fable 2 will sell more. many people that I talk to haven't even heard of Little Big Planet. Only people living off the internet and videogame magazines have a clue. If it's marketed on some popular TV spots, it'll probably attract lots of people though and sell big.

FYI - here in UK my kids tell me that they've seen LBP ads on Music/Kids channels last few days - so I think Sony really is going to market this heavily to the family in the same manner Nintendo do with most Wii games... it'll be interesting (assuming they do so) to see what this does to sales as Fable 2 is I think locked into game playing / 360 owning crowd whereas LBP could potentially reach a larger audience if it connects well via marketing.
Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
Why do people feel so insecure about their gaming decisions that they must constantly ask what game will do better even though both have nothing to do with each other?
Who really cares which one does better? They are both on separate consoles. They both appeal to completely different audiences. They both are completely different games.
Also, lol @ rainbird's Starcraft comment.
lbp i got around 50 friends op psn... 35 are going to buy it.

Well then I sitll dont think it will beat fable 2 first week but it week but it will most likely have huge legs.
Fable sold 2.6 Million copies on the XBox and it is likely that Fable 2 will have a pretty strong front-loaded demand ...
Most PS3 games have sold far below fanboy expectations and, without being bundled, very few PS3 games have ever sold to the level that Fable sold on the XBox. Even though Sony is pushing Little Big Planet hard it is a game that will probably not have all that high of initial demand.
I expect that Fable 2 will outsell Little Big Planet by a wide margin on their first weeks, and I think that it is highly likely that Fable 2 will outsell Little Big Planet by a wide margin in lifetime sales.

while i agree with u in one respect, in the past games have not sold as expected on the ps3. but u have to understand fable 2 sequal and its an rpg. it has its own specifically defined genre it may be excellent.
Fable 2 has its audience, not everyone likes rpgs, and not everyone who likes rpgs likes wrpgs. LBP is something new, its fresh theres nothing like it, sony is marketing the crap out of it. ive played the beta, and can't really fault it as a game it gets a 10/10 from me purely because it has endless play, and it builds a community of friends. u heart players levels they heart urs, u play on there lvls they play on urs. they send u new items etc etc u get the point.
i know fable has 4 player co-op or will be implemented thats a good thing, but does the game benifit really from playing with others? i dont know u tell me ive only seen some of the stuff. LBP truely shines when playing with others. u miss so much if u only play alone.
so yeah if ur comparing sales wth any other generic ps3 title good or bad id agree with u but imo LBP is going either way. HUGE SUCCESS or BIG FLOP, and considering the budget of this game compared to previous ps3 games..... My money is on HUGE SUCCESS ;)
