I don't think Fable 2 will sell more because everyone is talking about LBP. Not fable 2.

 

 Only PS3 Fanboys are talking about LBP. Nobody of my friends even know what it is (some of them have a PS3).

The problem is, that LBP was made for the Casual Market and the PS3 is way to expensive to reach that market...

Fable 2 initially by quite a margin but LBP will have way better legs and pass it eventually.

Adverts will also make a much higher impact on LBP sales. This is because Fable 2 will be sold primarily to Fable 1 owners that are excited about the sequel. But LBP is something that most people will first see in adverts.

So LBP will keep selling very well as long as it is advertised. i.e. until the end of the holiday season and then by word of mouth.

Prediction: The PS3 will surpass the 360 on weekly sales after it drops to $299 on all regular weeks (no big releases).

First week should easily be Fable II.
LBP will catch up quickly though and pass it in a few weeks.

Fable 2 will have the bigger first week and have great legs. (look at the legs oblivion had on the 360).

In the long run I have no idea as LBP is a new IP and its simply an unkown.

20 days before release on October 3... A day which will live on infamously the Fable 2 Ltd edition ran out of stock.



Fable is da doomed.

Btw Fable 2 will also sell to some Oblivion fans, Mass Effect fans, Lost Odyssey fans, people wanting to buy a fun game, etc. Its not going to sell to just Xbox 1 owners.

Little Big planet is nothing more than your average platform game underneath the graphics with a bit of Lemming type gameplay. It will be short lived and Banjo will make it eat boring Ragdoll dust.....

LBP is an unkown, Fable 1 sold over 3 million..

LOL average platform game? prepare to eat crow, LBP is by far the best platformer game i've played and all i've played is a small tuturial beta.  Want to make a bet? I bet that LBP will get a higher average review score than banjoo and fable 2.

Fable 2 will sell more and depending on how well LBP is received it may completely destroy it in terms of numbers. Probably a 2 :1 margin if LBP does well but maybe 3:1 if LBP seems to niche for the casual gamer.

Then again what the hell do I know, LBP could sell millions. :)
