Normally I wouldn't start a topic about this but it's been a week so was wondering if a similar situation is occurring elsewhere.

I went to Walmart during the anniversary sale.  I mainly wanted to pickup the 4 SD card pack they had.  I also went to the VG section to check out the 99.99 Nintendo DSs.  I was thinking about getting one to sell on eBay to get some quick cash for Christmas but they were sold out instantly.

I happened to notice a ton on Wiis, I haven't seen a Wii in a major retail store in a while but didn't think much of it until today.  I had to go back and scope out some gifts (gfs birthday soon) and I noticed many Wiis, there were 3 slots empty which weren't the last week I went.

I'm posting cause it's shocking to still see them there.  They may have restocked the shelves or they may not have.  It looks like they didn't restock since the DS section is still messy but I could be wrong.  Just wondering if anyone else in Toronto Canada or elsewhere has noticed the same thing.

Yeah, it's probably just a slow month. Walmart is selling the 360 arcade for 177 and there's quite a few left of those as well.

Yea I work at blockbuster and we have something like 10 wii;s now we used to run out instantly. Im like 1 and a half hours north of toronto so about the same area.
