One of the advantages of having a console of the current generation is that you can catch a lot of promotions and sales off of NEW BRAND GAMES :D I bough my wii a week ago and now I have 5 games!
3 of them are used x_X but still! =D
Wii sports
Sports-based mini games, created to break the wall between gamers and non gamers and to atttract the old ones that sony and microsoft (and in some extent, Nintendo) forgot and ignored.
Simple, fun and functional. Good physics and good controllers. Boxing could be better but is good to goof around with friends.
My mom got ADDICTED to Bowling XD I never imagined to play a game with my mom. Ever!
Times are changing and it feels so good.
Mario Kart Wii
Well duh! =P I <3 Mario kart double dash so this was a logical buy. I wanted to buy it new because of the wii wheel...which I haven't used yet Dx
I think that graphically is OK. The music is not as fun as Double Dash and the bikes are ok. The AI in 150 is A B***H >=( but I could unlock some characters and stages and bikes.
Very cool game. I have yet to play with somebody. I used the GC controller because I want to know the game better before starting to experiment with the other kind of controllers.
Many criticized it the voices but they are nice, except for Bowser jr's voice which sounds like a midget x_X but I love Donkey kong's voice X3 because is the one from Jungle beat and fits him well hehe
It doesn't beat Double Dash as my favorite Mario kart. Heck, I still play it! XD But MKWii is awesome!
Super Smash Bros Brawl
Or, Super smash bros melee deluxe...yeah same old game with better graophics, more characters, stages, music and stuff. I have unlocked some characters, mainly Snake and sonic. The Subspace emisary is HORRIBLY BORING. But I have to play it to unlock toon link =/ oh well.
Nice game but, unlike Double Dash, I don't see the point for keeping SSB Melee. I'd better trade it for another game.
Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles
Is a mixture of a fast paced Resident evil game with a slow paced House of the dead. Many I asked about this game, told me it was boring. ...Morons =P I think is a fun game. Maybe more action could be better but so far is good.
Also, after playing this one...I think I should trade/sell Resident Evil 0. I never liked that game very much and the first levels from UC are the same from zero. So, what's the point?
I also want RE4 for wii but I haven't found it. Once I do, I'd trade my GC copy of RE4 ^^
Alone in the Dark
This game was bashed... and with good reason! Unfair deaths, bad level design, onfusing goals...but I do think that there are way much worst games. The controllers are ok. It's stiill has good ideas and points. Let's try to finish it, and if I don't like it, I'll trade it.
Okami
I haven't played this game very much. But I do like the zelda-like gameplay. The brush needs time to get used to. The art style is awesome. I'll play more than 15 minutes and let's see if it's as good as they said. So far, is OK.
So far I have these ones. I would like to buy more games for wii ware, Guitar hero 3, Wario land shake it and Mario galaxy, Castlevania Judgment, Disaster, etc. But that can wait.
Is so good to being in the current generation for once in my life! XD I always had consoles when they are ending their life cycle (bought my NES in 1994, my Genesis in 1995, Gamecube in 2006 x_X..my brother bought his PS on 1999 but he sold it =( ). Now I can follow the industry and keep looking for the good ones and the good prices.
And no, I won't install those darn horrible mod chips >:(
