It will NOT be replaced with a jasper unit. When/if you are unfortunate enough to get RROD your unit will be replaced with a refurb falcon. Only launch chipsets are upgraded isince they are deemed substandard by msft themselves. The only possible way for you to buy a unit and have it replaced with a jasper if there is a future issue is to buy an in-store warranty plan at a chain that replaces consoles on the spot.
And on the topic of Jaspers being released: will not happen until 09 post holiday bundles.
