Good news for Wii.

That's really sick. Since all the Wii versions register themselves as classic controllers to the Wii. Which means that it's all the same button list and layout. This is just another matter of of forcing Wii owners to spend more money.

soooo.....can anyone make a point-counter-point arugument for which game i should get: RB2 or GH:WT? i'm at a lost at what the differences are now.

On the Wii the only major difference is the song editor for GH:WT. Other than that it is simply a matter of track list. Your best bet is to look up the song list and see which has more that you like.
All those people arguing that GHWT will be better...consider this-
Guitar Hero was started and designed by Rockband people(Harmonix). They did guitar hero 1 and 2. Then were ripped off for GH3 since they wanted to make rockband instead. Now that Rockband blew the Guitar Hero franchise out of the water...they are being ripped off again. Lets see if the copier can be better than the original...I seriously doubt it.
@disolitude: 20 - 30 MB?? No... 2-3 MB as an average.
OT: Very good news, a lot of Wii haters will finally shut the hell up about Wii always getting the gimped versions. Capcom should learn about this, since they are one of the few developers along with Ubisoft that will port PS2 games and gimp them for the Wii.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Drums appear to have better quality and have one more pad. Also, there will be midi connectivity allowing you too hook up other instruments for example any electronic drum kit.
Guitar has new slide feature in neck and GH guitars seem to have better quality.

LOL...year right. Maybe on the wii after the songs have been compressed to hell and back...but even then I don't think so
You realize that MP3 version of just the song, which is one of the best compressions out there is usually 4 megs at 128kbs rate.
For rockband they have to fit the notes instructions for all the difficulties as well as the lips and instrument syncronization for the people on stage.
On xbox360 average song is about 25 megs...I don't see the Wii being any different.

They were not 'ripped off'. Konami holds most of the patents for these games, so they are really the originators of this genre. Both Activision and EA are paying Konami to use these patents. It's no more a ripoff than all the FPS games are ripping off Wolfenstein or Doom. Was there this kind of bitching when Half-life or Duke Nukem came out?
As far as RB blowing out the GH franchise, you do realize GH3 was the best selling game in the past year? And that's not even including the Aerosmith version and all the DLC and merchandising.

Well, GHWT version has better guitars and a drum set. It also has unlimited free songs. I guess RB2 is better if you own a PS3 or Xbox 360 and already own Rockband. Otherwise, GTWT seems like a much better game.
