I don't see how you can say that when its the exact same game minus a boss fight, few costume changes and with a different story. The gameplay mechanics are exactly the same...which is what counts. |
It is clear you have not played them both. They removed a boss, removed a difficulty setting, censored some content, removed some of the plot, changed enviroments, altered bosses life bar and screwed up the challenge. Normal on SOR 3 was harder than hard on BK 3. Hell, easy on SOR 3 was harder than normal on BK 3 (and you couldn`t even get past level 5 on easy). The AI and damage are all messed up on SOR 3. Small fry like Donovans will hit you for 50-60% damage with two punches on hard. The Shinra mansion is very hard on normal and impossible on hard (if you even get there). The robot boss can`t even be killed for the good ending if you don`t corner him and keep using the special attack. Another issue, the special attack reduces life by 5% on the US version and more than 15% on the JP one (you are encouraged to spam special attacks to avoid cheap attacks).
SOR 3 was a mess. Ask any fan and they will say BK 3 was the only real version.

That's one game and series I wouldn't hesitate purchasing on PSN. I'm curently hoping they release the ps1 FF games on PSN as well.
BTW, I thought Streets of rage 3 was the best in the series.

I beat SOR3 on normal multiple times and didn't think it was hard at all. It was the challenge that had me coming back to it...Otherwise the story was a mess but who cares? And I didn't really miss the Gay biker boss that was in bare knuckle3 ...
