kinda makes sense if you think about it - Nintendo launch that photo development sevice on the Wii as well as having the photo channel then they introduce a DS with camera.

The stronger Wi Fi will also be for those ideas they've had patented for a while now to introduce a service at baseball games with replays and info at airports etc via the DS.

If the DS had more multi-media capabilities it could help tap into some of the psp's and mp3 players markets. And whilst they may or may not buy many games, the hardware is still profitable. Plus it could keep the Japanese DS sales high for another year or so.

Not to mention all the possibilities in regards to games design.
