Forums - General - CHILDREN ON LEASHES???

Its not unconventional for kindergarden groups of children to have harnesses in Asia and Europe. If two people have to control 20 little bastards besides a street its not that stupid. For a single kid its a bit idiotic although I am hard-pressed to get worked up about it like you do.

Dang how did my mother ever control me when I was young, or my brothers or us all together. How did the parents of everyone I know handled their children?

That being said, they have a right to raise their children in a way they seem fit. As long it doesn't scar them for life.

I see it all the time. As a matter of face, my brother and I had one when we were wee todds. We were really wild and ran around everywhere. So I think it was justified. You do what you gotta do really.

Hi, this is Vince with Shamwow.

I have no issue with this, its actually good safety. Even with a small kid holding your hand that doesnt mean that you have a strong enough grip on them to stop someone trying to take your kid. The rope can let them walk a bit out, give a touch more freedom, and allow you to know your kid is SAFE.

I see it all the time at malls and stuff. It's not a leash around the neck either. It's a sort of harness around the torso with an elastic band to hold onto. I don't see the problem with it. Gives the kid more freedom than having to hold your hand the entire time, or stay inside a shopping cart, but prevents them from being grabbed or just wandering off. I fail to see an issue.

It looks like it hurts, and like the kid is uncomfortable.

I don't like it.

How could it hurt? It's a belt or harness. Are you in pain when you are wearing a belt? If a parent is dragging the kid then that's not the leashes fault, it's the parent for dragging the kid, and I'd say the same if it was a dog.

Its almost never appropriate, but I have seen a few kids who need it, so I am not opposed to it in theory.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Its not as bad as putting clothes on dogs. That shit is criminal

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

lol, now that's true. Some one needs to ban that, it's inhumane and stupid.
