MS doesnt own them, they merely have reached a contract with them that the Xbox is the soul CONSOLE to develop on....Handhelds are another story. And like you said, they need to make more money. MS is making them cash with consoles, but why not make a bit extra on handhelds? After all, in MS's eyes, a dominant DS doesnt really hurt things.

Heck, MS has actually tried to reach agreements to bring Rare games to the DS like Viva Pinata.

Rare did put Diddy Kong Racing on the DS too, I think that was some kind of trial run, maybe we'll see more in the future.

 1 Gigabit = 1024 Megabit

1 Megabit = 1024 Kilobit

1 Kilobit = 1024 bit

This is because each bit is a binary (0 or 1) and all data in computer is stored in 2^n

 

the 1 Megabyte = 1000 Kilobyte thing is because... I don't remember, it was either someone being lazy or companies want to make their product look bigger than it actually is.
