There are a lot of A. Broken B. Unused C. Misused (DVD player) D. Underused (Gamer moved onto to next gen) E. Hacked PS2s out there.
I would expect that a third of all PS2s ever sold don't work now (Failure rates increase with time and its 8 years old)
Another third aren't being used or have been hacked so no software sales.
And the last third probably don't buy many games (Extremely casual/old system so they mostly play what they have)
