Forums - Microsoft - Is the 360 enough?

If it wasn't for LittleBigPlanet and Killzone 2, I'd have chipped my PS3 a while ago because I never use it. Because it's American though, my sister uses it to play tons of US PS2 games.

Will you teach me to football?

PS3 will be worth buying as an impulse purchase later when the price goes down a bit. But from a practical perspective, I am pretty sure you won't have the time to play all the good games that come out on Wii360...so why bother getting a ps3?

ah, nice 2 c disolitude trying his best to steer people away from buying a ps3

Looks like you didn't read the OP. It doesnt make any sense for him to purchase a ps3 if hes looking forward to one game...the console may be an impulse purchase for him when that game comes out...just like it was for me when mgs4 came out...but its still too expensive to be an impulse purchase like that.

Thats like someone asking "Is it worth buying a 360 for halo alone..."...ofcourse not, rent the system and the game.

Its enough because it has the best games like Final Fantasy XIII, Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, etc. As of now, both Microsoft and Sony need desperately to attract the mass market and the casual gamers and any more hardware would only increase the price of the unit. They already sold to over 21 million hardcore gamers, about the same as the original Xbox, now Microsoft has their sights on the soccer moms. They dont care as much about the hardcore.

weren't you the same person who made a thread saying that FF doesn't matter anymore? I guess it matters when it suits your arguement lol

Actually, Jenny was the person that got banned for saying that FFXIII was coming to the X360, before E3.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

The 360 has been plenty for me so far. I have been feeling a few cravings for a PS3, but only from Wipeout, Little Big Planet, and Valkyria Chronicles. So far there's been nothing else to pique interest.

I think LBP looks pretty damn sweet. It's not the kind of game I would advertise to my coworkers that I play, but I could see spending the occasional quiet Saturday hunkered down with some of that.

If I could find a backwards compatible PS3 for 250 I would certainly consider it.

It really depends on the type of games you want.

For myself, a X360 is enough. Sure, there are games on the Wii and PS3 I'd love to have, but there's nothing I "need" as much as what the X360 has, and what my wallet is willing to pay.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

Well I think that having a PS360 is fantastic, though I would still pick up the PS3 over the 360, but that is not the question for you

Since you have a Wii I am not sure that it is necessary, certainly until the price is cut. I think LittleBigPlanet is good enough to warrant purchasing the console, it just puts a smile on your face!

ps3 wii gamer say everybody has a good point. gears of war is the only reason for me to buy a 360 and if i give in to the temtation's of buying a 360. i will get 1 from a pawn shop or get a refirbished version. so theres a nothere and might i aad cheaper solution for u.

1 more thing to think about. ps3 is going to be out for ten yr's. that shows commitment.

and no 1 console will ever be enough. mario for life, cratos for life, and brut force for life.
