I have a wii60 but something about the PS3 makes me wanna buy it. Shall I get it or not? Only one exclusive I really want is Killzone 2. Apart from that I want nothing else. Also if I buy a PS3 I wont be able to afford anymore games on any console so should I risk it or not?

Its enough because it has the best games like Final Fantasy XIII, Halo 3, Gears of War, Mass Effect, Lost Odyssey, etc. As of now, both Microsoft and Sony need desperately to attract the mass market and the casual gamers and any more hardware would only increase the price of the unit. They already sold to over 21 million hardcore gamers, about the same as the original Xbox, now Microsoft has their sights on the soccer moms. They dont care as much about the hardcore.

for you no, if you only want one game dont waste your money

however if you start to see more things you want then it is a great idea

Don't buy it. Just find a friend that has a PS3 and play that game at his/her house.

it sounds pretty simple... whats the point of having a gaming system (or a bluray player) if you cant afford or even want 99% of whats available for it.

Yes, Rumor has it Killzone will look like the CG that Sony told us was in game footage back in 2005. And also, Final Fantasy 10 will come out for the PS2 using the Emotion Engine and it won't use FMV because every hair on each character's head will be able to be rendered in real time with the amazing power of the PS2.

Oh, wait, Sony has a history of over promising and under delivering. I guess you can just go based on the Sony promises -- they're counting on promises to sell their platform, after all.

Or you could wait until the PS3 drops in price and Killzone 2 gets some reviews and you'd still get the same experience. Only cheaper. And after /knowing/ the quality of the experience first hand.

PS3 will be worth buying as an impulse purchase later when the price goes down a bit. But from a practical perspective, I am pretty sure you won't have the time to play all the good games that come out on Wii360...so why bother getting a ps3?

Yeah good points everyone. And even Killzone 2 is kind of a meh for me. It is the only PS3 exlucisve I'm actually bothered about meaning that I'm not 100% hooked. So looks like I may not buy it.

One game cannot justify the purchase of a console for me, and I suppose it would be the same for most other. Just wait, the price will drop and the game library will grow, making the PS3 a much better deal with time!

By the time the PS3 drops in price that I want (£100-£130) it'll be time for the next-gen which I will get!
