I don't like rabid fanboys either.
I'm a huge Nintendo fan and supporter but that doesn't mean I dislike the PS3 or 360.
To each his own.

It's like a religion, really. You can't choose to be it, you just are or you aren't. Believing the PS3 will sell 150 million consoles and winning the console war is just as ridiculous as believing in Jezus.
Fanboy isn't something you choose, it's something you are born as. God, how ignorant can you be!
Lol at Rol!
Fanboyism is stupid.
People take stuff so seriously, LOL.

That sounds similar to something Rock_On said about the PS3...only I think he meant it.
The thing is that for the first time in several generations, the three extant consoles are not three similar products: they embody very different idea about what gaming should be. A lot of people look at that situation, and they can't help but wonder if this means that for this generation, their console choices say more about them as a person than just brand choices. And to be honest, I'm not really sure they're wrong about that.
People get sensitive about that sort of thing, and so when people try and advocate something else, they get mad. Flamewars ensue, and that's where fanboyism sets in: suddenly, you're not just defending your console, but also yourself.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

Real gamers care about games, not corporations so I have to agree.
I guess Pokemon and Charizard weren't an option for some people.
All the people saying they hate fanboys are fanboys.
Face it, if you're on vgchartz, you care about console sales.
If you care about console sales, you're a fanboy.
I'm not a fanboy more like educating the Ill-Informed.
