I look at this philosophically rather than mathematically, and I still come up with 1.

There is one Nothingness. I can divide it by itself and get 1.

1.

now someone do my math sup hw <3

WTF is calculus xeta?? I agree with Onyx, I didn't learn none of that while I was 13

Can you divide by zero?

No.

The answer is undefinded.

Let's use the basic rule for Zero Exponentation.

3^0 is equal to saying 3^2/3^2. Exopential division allows subtractions of exopents with equal bases. 3^2/3^2 = 3^2-2. 3^0. 3^2=9. 9/9=1, which makes 3^0 equal 1.

With zero, you are not allowed to use this rule. It would result in division by zero.

I don't remember learning this when I was 13.

I learned this in second year...that means...when I was 14. It's something math teachers teach to stop kids from asking why x^0=1. In fact, while the demonstration is correct, x^0=1 ∀ x≠0 thanks to an axiom, so you don't need to prove it

I do take calculus Xeta, so far I have done three university papers on it.

However I'm fairly sure that under some situations 0^0 is not undefined but 1, I just can never figure out what situations or why.

Hi, I'm a math minor and the wife has a BA in Math.  What crazy classes did you take that made you do papers on math?

My school had a "History of Math" course....

0^0=1

I remember this from calc 3 last year....and i googled it to make sure :P
