It was definitely interesting but we save the adjective amazing for things that are amazing.

What they are trying to get off the alien planet still?

Obviously you never finished the game (Heh, if you ever played it at all). They never got the queen off of the planet in the first place and destroyed all of the locusts. They just blew up the locust stronghold. There were more underground awaiting the moment to create emergence holes on the earth and destroy all of the humans. The leader of the locusts has a monologue from the first game explaining why they'll never stop their attack even if they all die. They are a blood thirsty species. Part two is where more of them come out of the emergence holes and the story for alot of the characters who didn't have in depth stories like Marcus begin.

Oh yes bring on the Gears Squad. Story sounds like it's taking good shape. Cant wait for this game. Loved the first, the pinnacle of third person shooters (finally one that done it well). Roll on November.
