^ I really like golf games, I LOVED Mario Golf 64 back in the day. I've wanted to try the Wii ones, but unfortunately I don't have money... and there are no Wii rents here.

For me, I woke up as 8AM. Normally I wake up at 5, but since this week is exam's week, there are no classes. I started downloading the 1.2 patch for Crysis while I played the game. Those damn helicopters are annoying... how can they stand a rocket launcher? At least I got to destroy all Anti-Airs. I still haven't figured out if the other marines can help me or follow my orders.

My girlfriend called, she will come over so we do homework. We have to design and build a model of a... er... "furniture to put your computer" using foam board. She already finished it, but I haven't done anything yet. I'm a busy person you know. Also, it's her mother's birthday today, so I installed MS Office 07 so we can send her a Power Point thingy. I still have to take a shower, but I'll leave the computer defragmenting while I'm away.

Well, I slept until 8:30 this morning. I stayed up way too late reading Silence of the Lambs last night. Pretty good book, actually. This morning, I ran down to the office and found an interesting art director job in Wisconsin I applied for. Since then, I've been dicking around trying to figure out if I should try to accomplish anything.

Now I'm listening to a collection of The Jam songs and it irritates me that this band gets no love. They're fucking fabulous.

I think I'm hungry.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

i would like to see a profile blog section. Where members can freely write and say what they want without fear of being banned or reported.

It is 1am now and I am typing on the computer screen. i will go to bed soon. The Bungie announcement was an incredibly disappointing non-event. Just another press announcement just like E3. Non event. Guess I will have to wait longer to hear about Halo 4 or some new IP made by Bungie on its way to gamers.

ioi actually offered that before.

But if you think it wouldn't be monitored you are out of your mind.

What wouldn't be monitored? I don't understand that exchange above about blogging in the profile section. People do write blogs in their comment sections anyways!

So I didn't actually end up getting that much done. I'm really liking my new 22" monitor. Now I don't have to squint as much. Unfortunately it isn't going to delay the inevitable... bi-focals. The damn problem is DS and PSP gaming. I'm having to hold them so far away I can't read some of the text. Then to read the text I have to put the screen right up next to my face and look over my glasses. Getting old sucks.

My dad called me up and he's a little worried. Now none of the houses in his development are selling and a couple (out of maybe 100) have been abandoned. This is in Florida, a kinda resort town named Destin, in a semi-suburban housing development that, last year, the houses that were selling for $500k now can't be sold for $250k. I'm not crying because a couple hundred people who could afford $500k houses lost half of that on paper. But guess what, those mortgages were rolled up into securities called mortgage backed bonds, and if people start abandoning those properties because they can't make the payments then those securities are worth less and become harder to value, and there's literally trillions of dollars that rest on the worth (or are affected) by these mortgage back securities. So that's what me and dad talked about.

Oh, and my Dad's cat died. That was sad. It had Kitty Renal Failure and he was giving it the fluid shots and meds every day and that lasted for five months. I know it's hard for people to let go but the Renal Failure is incurable. I was sad for the cat when I saw it last month because it was just miserable. He says he's too old to get another pet but I bet he'll have another cat within a few months.

Sucks to hear about your losses due to the financial crisis, we're a bit sheltered from the storm down here on the other side of the world.

As for my blog, just finished my week at uni and got a bit of stuff to catch up on/stuff I missed and can't catch up on. That's life though.
Now I'm just sick of uni and am probably going to spend the rest of the night getting rowdy with my bottle of Bombay sapphire gin (a mans drink!) and some mates. Some entries tonight could end up being a little bit strange (ie. drunk) so just be warned!

Oh and Johnny Cash is a fucking legend.

Also the movie I'm Not There is entirely screwed up, complicated, convulted and awesome. Whoever came up with the idea of playing six actors in six different unrelated movies within one greater movie is an idiot. Whoever made it work is a genius.

Johnny Cash is a legend, go check out his version of If I were a caprenter.

(Edit: not the youtube version, this version's better, but there's a better one out there that's slower; trying to find it)

Woke up, sold some BoA(listed: BAC) that I bought back in July. Trying to get the last of my money out of the stock market until I can decide what I want to buy into. I thought it would go up more by now.

Play Uncharted for about 5 minutes.

Showed up job, place is like a grave yard.

Finished my personal statement, sent an apology for sending a nasty email to someone who said they were writing a letter of recommendation for me. Turns out that he had sent it, right before my email went out. Oops. Thank god he already wrote it.

Sitting here, waiting for 7am.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Wow. I talked with an health insurance rep, my COBRA plan is going to expire in a few months so time to start looking. I was talking with a rep because I had applied online at the mega health insurance site that lets you compare all the plans, deductibles, co-pays, etc. So I applied and got turned down, three times by different insurers.

I'm fucking uninsurable. RocketPig is surely now doing a jig while contemplating my misfortune. I'm in good health but because of the medications I take and my past medical history nobody (nobody being Aetna, BlueCross, Humana and United Health Care) will insure me. When my COBRA plan lapses I am shit out of luck.

I guess I'll go for plan B. Now I have to work out what plan B is. I've always been wary of Universal Health Care but I've changed my mind. In the Army we say no atheists in a foxhole. I can see someone ignorant enough not to care about health insurance if they're basically indigent, but man, the health insurance companies suck.

@ fkusumot.....I was responding to Supernova 82 talking about having a profile blog where he could say whatever he wanted. A while back ioi had asked us if this was something that we would want. The general consensus was that it was unnecessary. But I was just saying that if it were to happen then it wouldn't be an un-monitored system. Blogs would be modded just like everything else...though I'm sure you could get away with a lot more than a general post.

Ok....so looking at houses sucked. The girlfriend's really excited and can't sleep. She's fallen in love with two houses...both of which are four bedrooms and would require us to take on three roommates. If that isn't enough of a problem...both she and her friend who is going to move with us have no rental history. I'm not sure how that will fly with the management companies. Couple that with the fact that we are trying to move with 3 cats and an aviary of finches...plus her friend's dog and we are quite the unrealistic candidates for finding the perfect rental.

Maybe with the market collapsing all around us they'll have no choice but to lower all the prices and rent to anyone with a paycheck. You see...I have no investments or securities or 401k to worry about losing...and I'm basically making minimum wage at the moment. It can't get much worse for me. All that can happen is that houses actually become affordable for me again.

Burn, baby, burn.

Edit...oh....and Universal Healthcare FTW.  I saw a jar at a convenient store for a seven year old girl who needed surgery because she had encephalitis.  They needed help paying her medical bills.  Sad.

Just did the 'cross campus run'. Bad move. My chest is burning up, I have already vomited and I am generally now feeling like shit.
