Forums - Microsoft - Finally Grabbing My New 360 Today, What'd I Miss?

I'm happy to say I'll finally be replacing my RROD'd 360 today with a new one and...I'm really fucking stoked.

I'll be grabbing the Arcade Edition at $199 and putting the 20 Gig hard drive from the old one in there. I am finally going to put some serious hours into Lost Odyssey.

Now the part I need your guys advice on:

1. I will not be messing around by trying to mod this one, so I will finally be giving Live a try (I think I get free membership so I'll test it out atleast). I need to know what the best games are to start off with. Keep in mind that I have a PS3 so don't tell me to play Call of Duty 4 or something like that.

2. What games did I miss since February/March that I should pick up with the console?

I can't fucking wait to play Gears again. They better not cut the fucking price again next month cause I will be pissed.

Halo's new update, is live, if you care for the Halo series.

Gears or War on-line...good times.

XBLA: Braid, Castle Crashers, Duke Nukem 3D

Tales of Vesperia (if you like JRPGs). I loved LO by the way.

This...and Geometry wars 2. Too Human is worth a shot but not a must play... Ninja Gaiden 2 is amazing...but a little hard for some. Condemned 2 if you like your steak meat bloody. All the good stuff is coming now so you got it at the right moment.

OMFG I forgot all about that, this is going to be better than I anticipated.

Halo and Ninja Gaiden 2 and many...

Blue Dragon is now $19.99, if you missed that. Tales is awesome, don't let the demo fool you. There are a bunch of free TV show episodes to download, NBC's Fall line-up. There's a free, T-Mobile sponsored Adams Family Movie download. Lost Odyssey currentlly has a price break on download content. Battle Fantasia is pretty cool, if you like Street Fighter with RPG characters in a fantasy world. Spectral Force 3 is a pretty fun SRPG, with bad voice acting, but reminds me a little of Shining Force.

Xbone... the new "N" word   Apparently I troll MS now | Evidence | Evidence

Tales is a must-have if you played Eternal Sonata.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

I dont know whether it will help, but since Feb I have bought:
Assassins Creed
GTA4
Rock Band
Ninja Gaiden 2
Too Human
Infinite Undiscovery
Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise
Braid
Castle Crashers
Galaga Legions
Geometry Wars 2

Definitely missed the summer of XBLA games mentioned above, particularly Castle Crashers, Braid, Geometry Wars 2, and Bionic Commando: Rearmed (unless you already have it for PS3). Duke Nukem 3D just released today, too.

Also, if you pre-order Banjo, you the N64 original for free on XBLA.

Did you by any chance luck out and get a LBP beta key? You're going to be swamped with games starting in October!!!

I can't believe no one mentioned the best new game on the XBox Live!?!

Get Bionic Commando: Rearmed!!!!

Tough as nails and fun as hell!

edit: Not sure if this was on the PS3 as well... But either way get it for one of the systems!
