WOW SELECTIVE MEMORY! MS bundled Halo 3 around Christmas time in Europe for the same price as a gameless console was before. The announcement was followed by "OMG ITS THE END FOR THE PS3!" etc etc.

Halo was only bundled with that limited edition Halo 360.

I think the bundle you are refferring too is the French mass retailer bundle.

IT was not Microsoft endorsed from memory.

I remember there was uproar because the expensive limited edition had no copy of the game.

Oh right, I assumed that because the 360 was halo themed, it would have Halo 3 bundled.

So, with this logic Halo sold millions because it was bundled.  I do beleave Motorstorm and Resistance out sold any of the 360's launch titles.  There is a reason M$, Sony and ninty put good games in bundles, it's to sell consoles.  The fact that the game is available in a bundle is a testimate to its ability to sell.

Anyway, this will be a close battle between the two.  I can't wait.

The Halo 3 bundle in the U.S. with the game is still available.  Wal-Mart has them in stock.  My point is the games that are bundled, are already good sellers.  They put them in there the sell consoles.

Now that I think about it, was Resistance ever bundled?

 If there is room for growth, it means the original did something wrong. The only thing Gears 1 didn't do insanely well was tell a story, which Gears 2 will more then likely be doing. Even then I don't see this massive growth that Resis 2 has over 1.

I can't remember a gears of war bundle at all.... 



GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

I can't remember a gears of war bundle at all.... 

Gears of War is great game, I don't doubt it, but from the previews I have seen, its not so much dfferent than the original. However, Resistance was good and felt unfinished. So, there is more room for growth and greatness.

the truth is, I hope both exceed my expectations, those are my types of games.
