You never played Portal, did you?

i did but i didnt really enjoy it. it was good but not anything near what all the hype i was hearing.

Show me something better in FPS area?

 

first off i played hl2 in 2005 on the computer. i only played it because of all the hype/awards for the game that i had heard/read. and so it greatly disappointed me.

unreal tournament >> hl2
quake 4 >> hl2
doom 3 >> hl2
far cry (although barely) > hl2

^ dude HL2 is greater than Q4 D3 and UT combined

ive played so many PC FPS's and half-life has been very significant among all of them

Valve is not really good at making games anyways.


They are one of the best developers at all. Perhaps after Blizzard and Bioware. So this is heresy.

 for you sure hl2 is the greatest thing since sliced bread. but for me it was like eating burnt cookies, distasteful and not very satisfying.
