^Mine did it in 9.8 seconds. (for reference I clicked the homepage right after, and it took slightly over 1 second)

Maybe only query the 50 posts you have displayed rather than querying all 2k or whatever. Sure you would have a longer wait between each page, but the initial load will be much faster. Most people will never go deeper than the 50 posts anyways.

Actually, I'm afraid I preferred the old posting history by far, as the new version seems to be a small snippet devoid of formatting, whereas the old one let you view the entire post as it was written.
The new version is much better for seeing what threads you have posted in, but not so good if you want to look at the content of the posts (and you have large posts or posts where you quoted someone).
It's also bad for doing a Find search for a specific phrase you know you used in a certain post to try to track down that post, because the posts are not entirely there, or for looking for pictures you posted, for the same reason. I have done both before and am very unconfident about my ability to do so again with this new layout.
(If there is a way for individuals to switch back to the old way, please forgive my ignorance and end it!)

UPDATE!
The previous comment was made after I used the "Post History" function in Internet Explorer.
I switched to Firefox for no reason, as I am sometimes wont to do, and lo and behold the Post History was in the old format which I prefer. I went back to Internet Explorer to verify if it was changed there or not, but the browser has currently gone insane on me.
So either TalonMan is AMAZING, or FF is somehow ignoring the system update, in which case I beg him not to fix the bug.
