That sucks Ail. I back all my saves up probably every two weeks now

Ewww... I was thinking you could just pop out the drive and put it in a new PS3 and then run the backup, but if I'm not mistaken that will actually wipe the drive...

You could also try copying the files off the drive to your PC, and then see if it will load on the new drive with the restore tool... I have no idea if the files as they are defaulted on the drive are compatible to do that though (I doubt it)

Maybe there's a tool?

Last night I threw a fit when my shield/grenade/class mod disappeared off my Borderlands save, but now that seems so insignificant to your problem.

That sucks man!!  AS for the game stuck in it, i know some models 40GB and 80GB will force eject when you do a fan test, just not sure about the backwards compatable 80GB models.  I have no idea on the save files situation, i copy all my saves (that arent protected anyways) on my PSP memory stick.

well got my slim and I should have my saves and my NBA2K10 Bluray tomorrow .
I found a local guy that repairs PS3 for 50$. All I need to get the old one up for 1 hour and I will get everything out..

I actually left work early to drive 60 miles and drop him the old PS3 today..

Now if only trophy sync wasn't so buggy this week.
At this rythm it's going to take me 5 hours to sync them all...
Each time I sync it errors out after 10 seconds or so...
So far in 10 min I only synced the trophies for 3 games..

Yeah, it takes like 10 seconds for it to sync even after obtaining like 2 bronzes and 2 silvers. Don't know why it's taking so long for it to sync properly like it used to be...

PS4 needs to push save data to servers with trophies this way noone will have to deal with this shit ever again !
