So I was looking at Resistance 2 trophies.

Who is going for the platinum ?

I'm going for it. I was going to suggest that we organise a 'race' in the style that they use over in the 360 Achievements league, but since the launches are so far apart I wouldn't be able to myself.

Forget about a race.

Let's make a VGchartz trophy league clan and play together instead. Who's with me!

 with WOTLK releasing on the 13th my playing on the PS3 is going to get very spotty for a few weeks :((

Made decent progress in Far Cry 2, I think I will be done with the story mode by the time RFoM2 is out( I shop at best Buy every friday so 3 days to go..) and should have 55-60ish % of the trophies which is as far as you can go in any decent amount of time...

I thought about including a "race to platinum" section a while back, but as you mentioned, it only works well when the launches are aligned. The other issue is the amount of time required to check everyone's PSN profile to see if they've earned the Platinum for a certain title. However, a way around this issue would be to have the person post when they've earned the platinum, then I could just go in to confirm.

If enough people are interested in doing races, we could set something up.

most of the races do not end with a platinum so it would be even more work for you...

For most games it is actually quite hard to get all achievements on the 360 and as trophies are mirroring achievements for new game it will be the same for us... RFoM 2 platinum is not going an easy feat, you're going to need 10k online kills among other things...( and 1 million online XP although I have no clue at which rate that comes).

Other issue is the fact that a lot of games are not getting simultaneous releases....
