Resistance 2 is a lot of fun, both single-player and multiplayer (although the MP is obviously a lot more fun). Online co-op is fun for a while, until you realize it's the same thing over and over again, so I got bored of it towards the end of trying to get a class to level 30 (it sucks when you get a game of people who suck at their classes). The Competitive is a lot of fun, with Skirmish and probably TDM/DM being the most fun of the modes available (haven't tried the new mode yet). There are probably a lot of people still playing, with plenty coming back with the recently released map pack and the "patch" that introduced a new mode for Competitive.

My biggest issue right now is that I am still more motivated by the mercenaries leaderboard than by the trophy league :P

I don't want to turn into a trophy hunters that skips spending time on fun games to just focus on trophies...........

I would reccomend Resistance. It is one of these games that you could take your time with and gradually complete it all. There is a lot of playing with the game. Yes the MP is far better than the SP. The SP is enjoyable non the less. I would reccomend it over Killzone purly because ive almost completed the MP side of it and ive played with 25 hours i would presume alot of people completed everything in MP in probably less than 10 hours if there good. Resistance will take much longer 10k kills top level in all the coop modes and completing it on legandary or w/e its called will be a very long task i presume and anyway it is very enjoyable.

EDIT:  dont get any single player only games or games with a short online. Resistance2 has slmost as many things to get as warhak and you could play that solidly for a year and not get the platenum as you will proabably know

Is it that game worth buying?

Ok, I only have 3 games with trophies (KZ2, LBP, Burnout) and my wife is going away on a long weekend in a couple weeks and I'm considering renting a game. What is a good game with relatively easy trophies. I'd love to platinum one game, and I haven't found one easy enough yet or doesn't have hardware restrictions (like burnout). However, remember that I also want a good game not garbage just for the sake of trophies.

Uncharted, Eat Lead, Lord of the Rings, Alone In the Dark, WWE Legends of Wrestlemania take your pick lol

I suggest Dead Space. If you know what you are doing it will take 2,5 times playing through it. There are no online trophies.

It is a good game. If might get boring when you go for the 3rd time, but not too much if you are playing in the highest difficulty

PS - I wouldn`t recommend CoD-WaW. Its a good game, but to get platinum you have to finish it on Veteran. And the game is badly designed, so Veteran is incredibly frustating at times. Ask anyone. Imagine having like constantly 3 or 4 grenades on your feet. Or spawning to die instantly from a grenade. So it might affect the fun part.

CoD WaW veteran is the worse damn game ever
