From people complaining on forums, seems like The Last of Us is a glitch-fest, both in the trophies and the game. Surprised that Naughty Dog would release something that lacks polish. I'm gonna hold out until they patch it up.

Probably not a bad idea. I haven't had any trouble except with multiplayer. The way it works now if the host disconnects, everyone in the game gets screwed big time. They seriously need to fix it.

Urgh, that sucks. Worse yet, I've read quite a few cases of people finally getting 40 people into their faction, but no trophy popped...

And then for single-player there are cases where the difficulty trophies didn't stack, which just immediately adds another playthrough. Uncharted never had that problem!

Haven't heard about that, but it's fortunately very easy to do again if it doesn't unlock the first time (as long as it isn't permanently glitched on you). The only "hard" ones are the two 12 week survival trophies, which would actually be very easy unless you - as I did - have the host drop out THREE games in a row. It seems like it would be pretty hard to legitimately fail out otherwise, and it's mostly just a matter of playing 168 games of MP.

@Arcturus; Thanks for the update. Any news on your PS3?

Downloaded games and DVDs run just fine, so I've narrowed it down to a failing blu-ray laser. I really don't want to drop close to $300 for a new PS3, so I'm going to attempt to have it repaired. I've found someone in my area that can swap out the blu-ray laser assembly for a new one for $100. It's cheaper and quicker than sending it out to Sony's official repair service, which costs about $160.

i know it isn't really helpful, but i've had 2 lasers go on me and it eventually bricks after the laser goes even though you can still play downloads, even though this was the 60gb,

sometimes its best to put the money in a new one but depends how much you have spare i guess

I've heard that most fat PS3s are ticking time bombs, I'm just hoping that this fix will give my PS3 another year of life. There are still PS3 games to be played before the PS4 arrives. But that's partially why I'm a bit reluctant to buy I brand new PS3. There are only a handful of PS3 games left that I want to purchase, and I expect a price drop on the PS3 soonish.

And now people are developing a strategy to accelerate MP trophies.  They skip, disconnect, every game but the ones with the 100% risk to your clan challenge...  That way they speed over the weeks but we got a lot of host disconnection...

Great...

But what happens when other people are skipping YOUR 100% risk days? LOOOOOOL.

Naughty really needs to fix this somehow. MP is really good otherwise.

Yep, a pain!  And,indeed, MP is pretty fun.  Actually, I'm finding myself jumping a lot in MP while my first SP playthrough slowly progressing...

So when the host quits, that's the end of the game - you fail? It doesn't transfer the remaining players to another host?

And when you fail a 100% risk mission, all your dudes die and you gotta start again?

Sounds like a recipe for frustration, with a side of rage quit. I hate multiplayer trophies! Why couldn't they just stick to what Uncharted did - just try a game or two in multiplayer, that's it.

Oh, and is this normal at all?... I checked two trophy sites, and both of them have "Knowing the Basics" (Win a game of Supply Raid and Survivors in find match) at a LOWER percentage of attainment than "Populace" (Build your clan to 40 people in Factions). I'm assuming you'd need to win more than two games to get to 40 people should put "Knowing the Basics" at a higher percentage - people have said that it's glitched, and if that's the case, it's glitched pretty significantly...
