I hope I get the chance to get back into trophy hunting soon, considering all of the games I have gotten. I might start back with finishing Earth Defense Force: IA or Section 8: Prejudice, since they were the last two I was playing before the YLOD hit.

I'm not sure you realize the extent of grinding that is required to plat EDF : IA.

I've been playing the game on and off, I am much further along than you ( 89% of the trophies) and still not even halfway to the plat in term of the xp needed ( I'm probably around 25% and I have maxed 2 armors and the 2 others are lvl 5 and 6).

I'm more than aware at the amount of grinding needed for the plat for EDF: IA. Maxing the armors is only half the problem, because you're going to need a lot more XP in order to buy all the weapons.

Ding lvl 50 in Skyrim.( took 701 skill increases, of course your mileage may vary as the higher the skill the more pt toward a level it gives),
And still nowhere close to the platinum...
Still have to do 12 Daedra quests, 6 sidequests, learn 6 more shouts,do about 40% of the main quest and then mop up a few more things....

Edit : I can't believe I have already looted 501 chests, picked 173 locks, killed 28 dragons, completed 76 quests and 64 misc objectives so far...( 350 backstabs too !!!)

hi. i am thinking in buying shadows of the damned and you and badgenome have the plat for it. so i need to know if is good enought to be enjoyable in the 3 needed playthroughs or is it a pain to play it 3 times for the plat?

If you dig the vibe of exploitation B-movies with an Mexican edge, then you may be quite interested in the game's gore, sexual innuendos, and cheesy one-liners. The story, characters, and style is definitely uniquely weird enough for you to play it through twice enjoyably. The bosses are twistedly cool, and the play with light and darkness is quite creative too. Yes I would have settled fine for two playthroughs, but playing it the third time wasn't too bad either because the game's not that long, and you'd be very familiar with every area by that time, able to breeze through in 5-6 hours. In total to get the platinum trophy it'll take about 20-25 hours.

I'll share some quotes I jotted down while I was playing and see if you find the silliness funny or lame...

JOHNSON: We’re practically in Fleming’s front yard. You sure you want to press on?

GARCIA: I’m a Mexi-can, Johnson. Not a Mexi-can’t!

---

GARCIA: How did you know shooting the goat would banish the darkness?

JOHNSON: How did you not know? Some demon hunter, I say.

GARCIA: Fine. Just warn me if I have to fuck a horse to open a door.

---

GARCIA: You better put on your best dress, demon girl. Because tonight I’m taking you out!

JOHNSON: Well, beauty is only skin deep. And that bitch has no skin.

Hope that helps you make a decision!

Nope, no Dark Souls in my backlog :P

First I'm looking at finishing MGS3, and after that Peace Walker.
Then I'll start either: Dead Island, RAGE, AC Revelations, Deus Ex, Skyrim or COD MW3. Thinking about picking up the Shadow of Colossus HD collection too. Is it difficult to clear ICO in 2 hours?

Unless you absolutley despised Demons Souls you cant not get Dark Souls its just so much better definatley one of the best games this year.

Ive not attempted my ICO in 2 hours yet, but no i dont think its too hard theres plenty of time guides out there for what your save time should read for each save point, so you can just reload the last section if you took too long and you have 10 save slots. Dont attempt it on your first play through tho, as you will need to know the puzzles by heart and have to skip every cut scene.

Ive started playing Shadow of the colosus before going back to plat ICO, now SotC is going to be a hard long plat.

Im also about to platinum Demons Souls for the second time :D, thanks to my original US version, just need to find a Pure Blade Stone >_<.  I also cant believe the game ive mostly used to break up Dark Souls was Demons Souls LOL.

i think i will go for it, the game its pretty cheap here (less than 20 euros) and i like this genre. i will not playing 3 playthrough in a row to ease things.

many thanks for your reply...

you must be getting a PS3 soon, its been quite a while now hasn't it

i mean my PC broke too which forced my hand on getting a new PS3,i can't be without a working machine for very long otherwise i would have waited until chrimbo

i just came out of hmv and they are selling a 320gb with fifa 12,BF3,U3,saints row 3,NFS on the run,Driver,Batman AC and some action film for £299 unless i am reading wrong

kind of wish i had waited, some good games in that deal

:O:O

Sureley you were reading that wrong, was it not a choice of 2 games from that selection or something , if not that is just a godly deal!

that deal is still going on and true,i wonder if it is in all HJMVs

                                                                                                                                        Above & Beyond

Demon's Souls Platted Again!! (US Version) o/

God that farming for Pure Blade Stone is still the stupidest thing in it lol.

Finally Batman AC platinum

Xenostar congrats as I own demon souls yet just can't get into it and frustrates me sadly as I like the game.

Playing Pes 2012 on top player and can't help but feel they've broken it, gutting as it's the game I play for the game itself not trophies. Slowly going through castlevania and just trails and paladin left, taking me forever as no time found of late for games much

So I finally took the time to try Dungeon Defenders and man is that game good !
Best PSN game of 2011 for me!
