Nice! Cool new features for PS Plus Members coming in firmware 3.7: Auto trophy syncing, auto cloud saving.
http://www.joystiq.com/2011/08/09/ps3-firmware-3-7-brings-auto-cloud-saves-trophy-sync-for-ps-pl/

Edit: Read the trophy syncing is not after every trophy. It's only once a night. Not as good then because I always sync after I'm done playing a game.

I read this on the Playstation Blog. It's unclear exactly how this is enabled. They seem to have lumped these new options under Automatic Download (now called Automatic Update). Does that mean in order to enable auto trophy syncing and auto cloud saving, I have to enable the automatic download of weekly content (videos and demos)? I really don't want to be automatically downloading all of that junk each week.

I'm not sure automatic download gets videos and demos.

Anyway I enabled it for the first time last night and it doesn't seemed like it uploaded the save of the game I played and where I turned on automatic upload so more testing is needed..

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

Hmm, for some reason I recall that the Automatic Download otion would to two things. First it would download patches for of your games, and second it would download a selection of weekly demos and videos from the PSN Store. That's why I've never enabled it. Maybe they dropped that?

I dug up an old blog post when the details of Playstation Plus were first announced:

"Automatic Download: Subscribers will be able to set their PS3 to wake up from standby at any time of the day or night, download and install any game updates for the games you have been playing so you don’t have to think about it. Also, select demos and videos will be pushed to your PS3 ready to go. System software updates will also download automatically (manual install still required) and then the PS3 will turn itself off again."

I dont know about US, but in EU they stopped pushing demos and videos, after alot of complaints, using peoples bandwidth allowance for data they did not want was upsetting people.
