Yes all games 100% / Platinum. I started with another account, got five platinum trophies, but then got screwed over by Brutal Legend since its online play was glitched. Wrote about 20 letters to EA / Double Fine, then gave up. Started this account and have been extra careful to avoid games that have glitched gameplay affecting trophies. And so here I am...

Impressive. What stopped you from platinum in Resistance 2 & Vanquish?

Wow, you had to start over. Did you go back and platinum the original 5 games from your old account? 

Also I checked your trophies and noticed that you do have platinum's and 100% in all original content with every game played, but you don't tend to get the DLC to get that game back up to 100%. Is there a reason you don't usually get the DLC? Looks like the only game you got DLC for was Borderlands. Out of all of your games I would recommend the Fallout 3 DLC the most.

For a while there I was trying to get all my games back up to 100% platinum. I disliked seeing a platinum symbol next to a number other than 100%. lol. Must be an OCD of mine! I think there are only 3 games currently that I don't have platinum with 100% including all DLC now. Borderlands which I can easily do if I play Mad Moxxi. Bioshock 2 (which the challenge rooms pack are really hard) and COD:World at War (which is even harder with the zombie mode DLC). Those latter 2 games help me get over this OCD. haha

I didn't even mention other systems.  In that case, Backloggery says I have 67 unplayed.  I also have some games I've bought that aren't here yet.  I've just been getting too many good deals.  I have so many that I'm backing off trying to get Platinums for several games simply because I don't have the time which could be spent on the backlog.

Case in point:  I bought 9 games around Black Friday.  In total, that added up to right around $100.  I also got my free GT5 from Subway around the same time.

I also won a free XBox 360 slim, Kinect, Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports from Burger King around that time.  If you are thinking about getting Kinect, my vote is to not waste your money unless you get a *really* good deal.  Hell, I got it for free and I still don't know if I want to sell it while I can.  I'm mainly ticked off that I have a good 7'x8' room of open floor space where I play and it's not enough.

Resistance 2 - 10,000 kills made me not even want to try, esp since I'm not a huge fan of shooters. I actually only bought Resistance 2 cause I thought it'd have co-op campaign like Resistance 1.

Vanquish - challenge mode trophy. I'm sure I'd be able to do the challenges, but in each challenge when you die you start at the very beginning. One the second hardest one, after beating the same 4 waves of enemies like 20 times and dying in < 1 min on the last wave, I got sick of it. I'm sure if I just allocated 10 or so hours to it, I'd be able to plat it. But right now... Not what I want to do.

Haha I'm still not used to the X1... I only know how to drive it on certain tracks that I've practiced on. If I take it even to a track I know well, but haven't driven the X1 on before, I'd be banging into walls all over the place.

In terms of difficulty... Of the 3 X1 events, Monza is relatively easy to gold. Nurburgring and Suzuka are balls hard. I've golded Nurburgring so far, working on Suzuka. From my feel of it so far, Nurburgring gold is harder than anything else in the game except Grand Tour's Eiger Nordwand event, which took me more than 2.5 days of playing (10 hours per day). Suzuka just may be harder... >.<

Eventually I did replay those 5 games. Felt annoyed but at the same time it felt like easy trophies since I've done them all before. They were actually these:

• Batman: Arkham Asylum
• Dead Space
• Infamous
• Resident Evil 5
• Fallout 3

I had, on my old account ("Eskir"), gotten every game up to 100%. So in that list it means I did complete the Fallout 3 DLCs, and at that time the Versus mode in RE5 (the other DLCs weren't released at the time). So in this new account I decided that I'll be satisfied with a platinum trophy - too pressuring to get up to 100% for all games. Was for me a good decision since later I found out some games have DLC trophies that are quite menacing. And plus in joining this league I became more interested in focusing on platinum trophies, since they're the ones with value!

And in honestly, I'm so glad that the trophy system does include the platinum trophy. Since on XBox 360 achievements there's only the percentage, and DLC really does screw up the number without any sort of consolation. The platinum trophy, in this case, saves my day by saying, "Yes there are more trophies to collect for this game, but what's important is that you've perfected the core experience, the part that matters most." Anyways, this is just talk to combat another form of OCD. I still definitely get PSN games up to 100% since they mostly don't contain a platinum.

The moral of the story is... If you care about perfection, you really gotta do your research before feeding a new game into the system!

Haha, I like you responses and I agree that Platinum trophies absolutely make trophies better than achievements. I can easily see you got 100% of the original without going into each game to compare all the trophies vs DLC trophies. And when checking your profile I can immediately see you completed 26 games vs some arbitrary gamer score.

BTW, those were some long games that you had to replay. I can understand not wanting to do all the DLC again for RE5 and Fallout 3. RE5 Versus mode took me a while to get all the trophies.

I definitely give you props for always getting platinum or 100%. I just hope you don't decide to pass on some truly great games in the future because the difficulty might be 5 stars or if there is a glitched trophy. Well on second thought I certainly wouldn't blame you for waiting on the glitched trophy to be patched... You don't want another Brutal Legend disaster.

Did anyone from DoubleFine ever respond to your 20 e-mails about Brutal Legend?

Yeah probably a good idea to wait for Need for Speed. Awesome game though! I need to play it more, but I'm really getting into Castlevania: Lords of Shadow now.

I might go as far to say I'm enjoying Castlevania more than God of War III. Playing on Knight to start and I like the challenge. I heard Paladin mode is easy though once you get all the abilities & upgrades for the 2nd playthrough.

I recommend Castlevania: LoS to everyone. Especially Ail, since your a big fan of DMC.
