@ HideoK & getrdone: The US Playstation site has always had games missing from people's detailed trophy data. I come across it all the time when doing the weekly update. God of War 1 and 2, Jurassic: The Hunted, Prototype, and a few others games just never show up, but the trophies for these missing games are always counted in the total amounts. I often have to double check trophy details on the UK site when I see that there is a discrepancy in the number of platinum trophies.

That's not even valid anyway.  The online was fairly trivial, assuming you could find people to play.

It was the single player challenges that were annoying as shit.  Stuff like "Only allow the Boston Celtics to score 4 points in two minutes while you do a whole bunch of other stuff."  You basically had to do it over and over again, hope you made all the crap you had to and somehow the in game "fuck my luck" system made them miss most of their shots.

I was playing Red Faction last night and was surprised when I didn't get a trophy. Seems though it was after the GMT rollover so I suppose that could explain it. I have no idea why their online problem would have prevented the trophy from unlocking unless it really is a nasty problem and all of our PS3s are bricked...

Hopefully when they get the issue fixed my trophy will reappear. Who knows if I missed other trophies as well...

If my 60GB ps3 is a brick, then sony should give everyone a new 120GB slim because its there fault. But i think its something that will be fixed by a firmware update.

Oh, dont worry. I definetely will. It will just take some time. Between Just Cause 2 and Red Dead Redemption, it will take a long time for me to play it, since they seem like really long games to plat.

Also, I would like to plat GOW Collection before playing GOW3. I played the first but didnt plat it yet.

You are going to get a firmware update from a PSN server you can't connect to?

I realize that downloading to a USB stick and installing a patch that way would probably still work, but how many people even have that as an option?  A lot of people apparently don't even have computers (yet have a PS3, weird) much less a USB stick.  I suppose Sony could send everybody a free USB stick with the patch on it.

I cant connect to be psn but i can still use the internet browser.

My wife and I are taking her ps3 apart because we already did it before. We are going to try to unplug the internal battery and plug it back in. My friend said it work. Ill let you guys know if it works.

My ps3 seems like the only one that was unaffected. Everyone was talking about ps3 phats not working and i was thinking "huh?" because mine is perfectly fine. I have signed in and out multiple times. My brother's on the other hand suffered. The internal clock switched the time to 12-31-1999 and he cannot connect to psn or play(some) psn games

Yeah I noticed you can still check for firmware updates too. Sony can just prompt everyone to do a system update.

Sony said they hope to have this fixed in the next 24 hours. If its not fixed by thursday, ill buy a ps3 slim and then use the transfer data feature. Which will be sad because my 60GB ps3 will become my new ps2 system that plays blu-rays. lol Then ill have to figure out what to do with my ps2.
