Do people really need to feed their egos that much that they have to hack to get trophies in games? I mean, trophies are worthless as they are (I'm still a trophy whore, though, so I love them :P), yet people glitch them like this just to try and show their e-penis getting bigger...

especially on a game like socom where its bound to get attention

I think a 5 star platinum should be something that either requires an ungodly amount of time (like 250+ hours) or something that's insanely difficult (NG Sigma 2 and Wipeout HD are both), or a combination of both things mentioned (Warhawk for example).

I'm not sure what SF4 would be, but I believe it is considered a 5 star in this league, although it might be 4 stars. MK vs. DC shouldn't be a 5 star, considering that it's only challenge really is the combo challenges. Far Cry 2 is definitely not one, since there are only really time consuming trophies (it's hard to get this because of the dead online community, but there are more dead online games). Mirror's Edge is fine as a 4 star plat, considering the only challenge is the speed runs/time trials, but those aren't that hard to get one with enough practice and with the online videos.
