The Joystiq reviewer, Andrew Yoon also publishes on their ps3fanboy site.  He reviewed Wipeout HD earlier today and said it was just ok. 

 Getting a PS3 should be your first concern.

We do know for a fact that there will be split screen multiplayer, though I'm not entirely sure if that's for co-op. It would make a lot of sense for it to be used in that respect.

I love you Insomniac, but I hate playing FPSs alone.  I didn't play Halo 3 alone, didn't play Gears alone, etc, and now I have to play this alone.  Why take out options Insomniac.  WHY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????

Nah I don't think so, atleast I highly doubt it. The Co-Op looks like it will have too many things going on at once to have split screen.

that screen CANNOT be in-game, it has to be touched up or something, cuz if it is in game, then HOLY SHIT.

Its In-Game, GAF is losing its mind talking about it.  I'm sitting there reading their responses.  The game does alot of things technically that are unseen in a game.  The reason they say its better than MGS4 is the sheer amount of detail, depth of field, post processing effects, water tech, and on and on and on.  That picture should be enough.  This game delivers.  Fuck Joystiq.   They called it unremarkable?  Seriously??? Go look at the OP.

• One campaign specifically crafted for Co-op focusing on a squad of soldiers, supports 2 players offline, 8 players Online (Co-op). Story runs parallel to the singleplayer with a bit more focus on level flow instead of story presentation. Each players have different classes.
