Wow, is the game that short? Sub 40 is possible by just going through all levels, barely noticing the enemies? Wow. o_o

I've yet to download it because my stupid internet is not working on my Wii! Got to wait until this weekend.

I'll post my time here in a few days.

Most NES games were sub 1 hour. Most NES games didn't have save features. The earliest way to continue were through codes that were built using your current data state(ahh it was fun hacking the system). So making anyone sit for more than 2 hours was redicoulos.

I'm looking forward to getting this game.

Hmmm, don't worry, I'm not saying it in a bad way. Shorter games for more replay value are more than welcomed in this world filled with RPGs and homework and other stuff to do that is very time consuming! >_<

By the way, I've completed Mega Man 2 in about 35 minutes (check my YouTube page), so I guessed it would have been around the same time. That's why I've asked in the first place! ;)

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Watch my insane gameplay videos on my YouTube page!

I've yet to beat it, just messin around on time attack - tried Magma Man a few times and only managed ~2:00. Looking at the top 10 and they're around 1:30s - HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?! I stop at nothing but the lava beams, and kill the mini-boss in no more than 10sec. I'm guessing they freeze all the lava beams with concrete or something, but that just seems unreal... I really wanna see that in action...

(edit) My times so far:

Magma Man: 1:40:08
Hornet Man: 1:43:70
Galaxy Man: 2:07:85
Tornado Man: 1:47:85
Plug Man: 1:42:73
Concrete Man: 1:30:45

Lol, yes.... that's.... impossible....

Castlevania Judgment FC:     1161 - 3389 - 1512

3DS Friend Code:   3480-2746-6289

Wii Friend Code: 4268-9719-1932-3069

Okay, I've been playing Magma Man the last hour, and the level is such a pain... there's so little room for error, #(*&! Nothing I hate more than max-length jumps - that jump at the end of the room after the dragon is ridiculous. And even when freezing 4 of the 5 lava beams in the final room, I get to the boss at 1:30. The top rankings finished the entire level 1:26... Gah! Such a noob at these games

Anyone know a good site for this kinda stuff? I'd love to know what I'm missing...

I made it back in the top 10 all clear. 30:40 (or something like that). Hey how about we all share our little tricks in the time trials?

For example: The boulder boss in jewel man stage can be killed in one go by using concrete shot. You can also kill Jewel man in under 5 seconds using the pause black hole trick.

You can kill the boss in Wily stage 3 in 3 phases (2 theorically). A little bit before the core gets out of the blob, plant a black hole in its trajectory (very near the blob. As soon as it hits, pause, then unpause turn around and shot another black hole. This way you can kill it in just 3 phases. Theorically you could switch to the buster after the second black hole and hit it two more times.

The boss in Willy stage 2 can be killed very fast also. First thing: use rush coil as soon as the battle starts, then switch to the laser spear weapon in mid air and start shooting. When the boss hovers lower go mad with more laser spears and it will be dead in two phases. For phase 2 use any tornado shots you have left and the finish it with the magma bazooka. For the final part the trick is to time your spear shots so that they hit one after another. This way you will also finish it in 2 phases.

Alright, my second full run thru, and cleared in ~32min. I'm terrible at the Wily stages (have yet to do time attack with them), so that can be cut down quite a bit. Anyway, here's some useful stuff I found:

Splash Woman (bubble jumps cut a ton of time): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2BiDYK68ag
I only tried this a few times, had trouble with the last bubble, kept smackin my head on the spikes.

Concrete Man (plow the elephants): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=in1vbeURvjI

Galaxy Man thread on GameFAQs: (link)

I can't find anything for Magma Man, so this is all I have so far (my old run): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXR1LOhJ-04
Notice I somehow kill the dragon in 3 hits - not sure what that's about. I know I've killed Magma Man with just tornado shots once before as well, can't figure out how/why. I'd record my better runs, but it requires me to use the tv tuner on my comp, which ends up laggy as hell.

I know the Hornet Man miniboss can be killed in one barrage of concrete. Oh, and another big thing - you can knock the boulder boss down in Jewel Man's stage with 3 hornet shots. Can't think of anything else atm.

Anyway, this is all for the time attack. The all clear (as I just learned) is a whole different game... Should be fun finding the most optimal path. Health isn't a worry when you begin with 999 screws, which helps. Unfortunately for me it really stresses the Wily stages, which I suck at atm.

(edit) Just made #9:

Hah, #1 is so out of reach... okay, taking a break from MM9 for now -_-
