Forums - Sony - Are PS3 games getting cheaper?

Just had a look at some new games coming out in the next few months and the RRP seems to be getting cheaper than normal.

  • Pure - £29.99 (RRP £39.99)
  • SBK 08 - £34.99 (RRP £39.99)
  • Baja: Edge of Control - £29.99 (RRP £39.99)
  • NBA 2K9 - £34.99 (RRP £39.99)
  • Bioshock - £29.99 (RRP £39.99)
  • MotoGP 08 - £29.99 (RRP £39.99)
  • Motorstorm: Pacific Rift - £34.99 (RRP £39.99)
  • Resistance 2 - £34.99 (RRP £39.99)

Obviously there are still games out there that are £44.99 and £49.99 RRP, but there seems to be more and more at the lower RRP of £39.99 and 2 huge games at this price are Motorstorm Pacific Rift and Resistance 2 considering the money and time put into these titles.

Maybe this is a sign of the times, hopefully, and on a personal note, I reckon the lower price tags for R2 and M2 will do them well in the sales front...not like they will need it though.

Well thats a good thing if they gotten cheaper or.

In Canada, new PS3 games sell usually at $59.99, sometimes some new games are $49.99 (like Lego games for example, don't know why)

But there's no price difference here in North america

€40 for Resistance 2 or Motorstrom 2? That's a great deal.

They're going to cost at least €60 here in Ireland.

maybe Blu-Ray disks are getting cheaper to manufacture and print?
I dunno...
