BTW - this just in (courtesy of The Magic Box, for those that don't visit the great site :>): - Here are the latest Japanese game review scores: * Gundam Musou (PS3, Bandai Namco): 9, 8, 8, 8 - (33/40) * Super Robot Taisen W (NDS, Banpresto): 8, 8, 8, 8 - (32/40) * Bakegyamon: Ayakashi Fighting (NDS, Takara Tomy): 4, 4, 4, 3 - (15/40) * Unou no Tatsuhin! Soukai Machigai Museum 2 (NDS, Bandai Namco): 8, 7, 7, 8 - (30/40) * Akudaikan 3 (PS2, Global A): 7, 6, 6, 6 - (25/40) ... Go a reasonable score for Gundam - but about the same score the last Gundam game (on the PS3) got. Its no 38 or 39/40 (i.e. awesome). Be curious to find/read the comments from the reviewers. Also looks like it will have company - Super Robot Taisen will do well on the DS.

GUNDAM is the only game that features in the top 5 list....GEARS got 38/40 and flopped big time in JAPAN. the thing that matters is GUNDAM is among the top 2 games (this week) on FAMITSU charts. if MHP2 could do so well why wouldnt GUNDAM be able to repeat the feat. after all any game of any platformEXCEPTING the MEGA FLOP X360 that features in the top 5 list would sell atleast 200k

I dont like VF. I dont have any in my collection. and I dont plan on getting any.
That's funny, I distinctly remember you as one of the many people who mentioned VF5 as one of the games that will sell ps3's right and left. What, now that it went to the crapper you're all "I don't like that game...blah blah..".

Because MHP2 came out on the PSP which is 1/3rd of the price and has 8 times the installed base.

first of all that's not a very good score for famitsu, they always give scores around 30-35. About Gundam, it's gonna move systems, probably to the point where it outsells Wii when it comes out. However, that's gonna last for 1 week, then it's gonna go almost back to normal again. That's how Japanese sales work, so don't be suprised if ps3 sells 100,000 consoles the week MUSOU is released, but then don't be suprised if it sells 30-40k the next week, then back to 20-25k, and MUSOU sales are also 1/4 of the previous week.

Yes Nintendo makes a profit from "crap", does it matter when somepeople think 600 USD is more than they can afford for gamin system. Heck even if they sell with 600 USD loss it is still a cost of 600 USD for a gaming system I personally have spent less than that on the last gen.

50k... when Wii sells 70k? How should they beat Nintendo then? PS3 need a million seller NOW!

I live in Europe (you can call it eastern) and I have to pay much more than gamers in USA for system and games also I earn much less than you in USA (the fact is PS3 costs around average month salary in my country - 600 Euro) and I'm not bitching around about how much it costs. Hi-tech have to be expensive - thats all. I will buy PS3 because I think it is worth of my money.

You are talking about ps3 not the defuct x360. NOTE :- VF5 never featured in the FAMITSU list of top 10 games. GUNDAM would be no 1/2 on next week's chart
Ok, I know understand that you hate xbox360, and that you cant stand that your PS3 is last in WW sales. First I actuly think than BD was on top of the FAMITSU list. Second please stop using CAPS becuase it is hard to read. Three. You actuly say that a gundam game will push 80 k more units out of the door? In the first week? You must be totaly mad...

Well the first Xbox did a total loss of 4 billion$ so why couldn't they start a new gen with xbox720? For Sony and Microsoft this is a war over the living room more than anything else...

So let me see, what you are stating here is: 1, you have less pay than me 2, PS3 is so ----ing great that you are ready to give one month salery for it... Then I must say great, you have found the system of choise... can you understand if I think that a consol for 600€ (roughly a thired of what I get out after taxes) is not worth it? That I think it hasn't any game that I want? Can you understand that I belive that the core of the gamers in the world think the system is expensive?
