The 360 is NOT a bigger name than Playstation in th UK. It has a bigger userbase for now thats all.

Looking at weekly sales in the UK, it seems like "for now" is gonna last a very long time.

I wasnt trying to start a flame war. It's actually fact. I used to be a very happy PS2 owner and was extremely looking forward to the PS3. All my mates previously had one to. Trouble is out of 12 of us from the top of my head only 2 have one, 10 have the wii and 8 have 360 none of which have intention to buy PS3 now FF13 is voming to 360. In current console sales of both the 360 still has the edge in the UK and the floor space in most shops. UK tends very much to follow USA in consumer products.

I understand your point but it's still not a bigger name, i mention 360 in general conversaion to someone who doesn't game, they look blankly at me I have to say X-box, I mention PS3 most assume I just mean a Playstation whatever, especially after PS2 success....but then most know what the Wii is. £60 is selling more but then has been cheaper then PS3 for a while now and even cheaper now. More floor space just because of more games, Wii rules on both fronts.

And on the last line, it's a sad sad fact indeed.

Hmm, pie.

Around the Network

What I don't understand are the people saying microsoft shouldn't try? That they should accept their fate?

Thats a horrible business strategy. In Europe they're selling decently and they can certainly improve. EU isn't like Japan where the 360 doesn't really have a good chance of getting any lasting momentum. Sure the ps3 will probably still sell better, but that doesn't mean the 360 can't improve its sales rate aswell.

Hardly any effect whatsoever. And in a couple weeks back to LOWER than previous numbers. 360 is utterly dead outside England.

Here in Norway at my store PS3 is selling around 5 times better than 360 even though it costs THREE times more than the arcade model.

Then again we're rich as fuck and price doesn't matter for most people.

Everybody buys PS3's and that Buzz game for their kids. Which is why it's been at the top of the charts ever since release here.

Oops. LOL. I understand what you mean now. hehe. I agree the brand name Playstation is bigger than Xbox still. What I actually meant was The actual 360 console itself is bigger than PS3 console. LOL. The trouble with getting what you mean across sometimes is hard on a screen.
